Under the auspices of the Presidency; The Istanbul leg of the 4th Presidential International Yacht Races, organized by the Istanbul Open Sea Yacht Racing Club, with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in cooperation with the Governorship of Istanbul, took place between 27-29 October. Women who have never sailed before, prepared by Kotex Türkiye for the races, achieved 3rd place in two categories in the races with the We Are Sailing for the Future team.
This year, the 100th Anniversary of Republic Cup excitement was lived in the 4th Presidential International Yacht Races, which is the only yacht race in the world held between two continents. The Istanbul stage of the races, the first stage of which was held in Muğla between 25-30 July, took place on 27-29 October. In the race where the competitors fought hard for the 100th Anniversary of Republic Cup, the We Are Sailing for the Future team won the cup in two categories. Daughters of the Republic, with their We Are Sailing for the Future team, came 3rd in the University and Women categories. The team, which made a splash with its success, also managed to come third in the Eti Mermaid Republic Cup.

Daughters of the Republic, who competed with racers from all over the World under the leadership of national athlete Murat Tan in the 100th Anniversary of Republic Cup, thus added new achievements. Women, who competed on a magnificent course between two continents on Bosphorus, received their awards at a fascinating award ceremony on October 29, where the enthusiasm of the Republic was deeply felt.
In the sailing races organized by Marmaris International Yacht Club and included in the yacht racing calendar of the Turkish Sailing Federation, the We Are Sailing for the Future team covered 875 miles in 13 races and won 9 awards. This brought the team a very important success, such as third place in the trophy, in a male-dominated field where very strong teams competed.
Kotex Türkiye brought 100 women and the seas together in the Daughters of the Republic project
Kotex Türkiye has so far introduced 100 women to the sea in the Daughters of the Republic project. More than 8000 applications have been made to the project up to now, and 100 women from 32 different cities have joined the Sailing for the Future team. Kotex Türkiye, which cooperated with the Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD) in the project, also gave support to provide educational scholarship opportunities to young girls affected by the earthquake as they traveled miles across the sea.
